Replication Collaborative moves into Phase II - FeasibilityNorthWay Community Trust, on behalf of the Replication Collaborative (Subzero Collective, Minneapolis Downtown Council, Grassroots Public Policy Institute and NorthWay) has been building partnerships to support a feasibility study to determine the likelihood of a successful replication of the Manchester Bidwell’s Center for Arts & Technology in North Minneapolis. The purpose is to assess the need and readiness of the community, including community-based organizations, businesses and corporations, leadership capacity and funding potential. NorthWay will be working closely with the National Center for Arts and Technology team and the collaborative partners to meet with a wide range of organizations and individuals over the next 12 to 18 months. There will be a public event to kick off the feasibility phase of Center for Arts & Technology in the next few months. Watch The Beam for more details! For more information or to be added to an email list on the project, email Lance Knuckles, Outreach Manager, or call 612-521-4500, x102. Youth leadership continues to growNorthWay Community Trust recently graduated 17 more youth from its Youth Leadership Training Series in October. These young people completed 12 hours of intensive training in group facilitation and public policy assessment and development. NorthWay believes that it is very important to involve youth in the many conversations about the transformation of North Minneapolis in order to provide perspective and guidance around issues that impact them, and to influence opportunities they wish to see. If your organization is contacted by a young person stepping up for change, will you be ready to partner with them? For information on other training opportunities sponsored by NorthWay Community Trust, email Lance Knuckles, Outreach Manager, or call 612-521-4500, x 102.
